Mission Statement

The mission of the Ankeny Library Media Program is to enable all students to be independent learners who are skilled users of information, and who appreciate literature and other creative expressions.

Checkout Information

Books

Personal account information may be accessed by logging into the Destiny Online Library Catalog. Books are checked out for 15 days.  Books may be renewed online one time if the book is not on hold by another patron.  Holds may be placed on books in the PR catalog; they may also be requested from another 6-12 Ankeny School.

Textbooks

A limited number of hard copy textbooks are available for checkout. The length of checkout periods depend on supply and type of textbook.  Visit the library for details.

Overdue Notices & Fines

Students will receive an email reminder that a book is coming due 1-3 days prior to the due date. Overdue email notices are sent out to students weekly; monthly overdue notices will be sent to the parent email on Infinite Campus.

Chromebook Information

General information

The Ankeny Schools 1:1 initiative offers each 6/7 student a Chromebook. If a student has a damaged Chromebook, they may submit theirs for repair and will receive a loaner Chromebook while supplies last. Loaner Chromebooks are not issued in cases where the student has forgotten to bring theirs or if the Chromebook is not charged.

Chromebook Repair Procedures

HYBRID students may submit damaged Chromebooks to the Library Media Center any time during the day when they are at school.

REMOTE students please email or call the library for Chromebook problems or technology help.
